Karen + Sunny ~ Mommy & Me Photo Session

As Karen hugged me to say good bye she told me “This is the last time it will be just the two of us, thank you for capturing this really important time for us.” As a mother of two boys I knew exactly what she was talking about. It’s that time right before everything changes. The time right before your new baby arrives…the last moments before your family expands. It’s a time of excitement but also uncertainty as you venture into a beautiful new chapter. We waded into the cool Malibu stream with Sunny and Karen, capturing moments as the two of them picked flowers, as Sunny tickled her mom’s belly, as she reached up and cradled her mom’s face. Dandelion dust swept through the warm spring air. It was a truly magical day, and Rezeta and I were so honored to be apart of it.
